Keystone Korner was a legendary jazz club in San Francisco that played a major role in the development of the city's jazz scene. The club was founded in 1972 by pianist Todd Barkan and his wife, Ruth. It was originally located in the North Beach neighborhood, but moved to the Fillmore District in 1975.
Keystone Korner quickly became a popular destination for jazz musicians and fans alike. The club's intimate setting and excellent acoustics made it a perfect place to hear live jazz. Some of the most famous musicians who played at Keystone Korner include Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Chet Baker, and Thelonious Monk.
Keystone Korner closed its doors in 1983, but it remains one of the most important jazz clubs in American history. The club's legacy is preserved in this book, which tells the story of Keystone Korner from its early days to its final closure. The book features interviews with some of the most famous musicians who played there, as well as rare photographs and memorabilia.
